Football lighting request and installation plan


Common football field size:

The 5-a-side football competition venue is rectangular with a length of 25-42m and a width of 15-25m. In any case, the area of the international competition venue should be: 38 ~ 42m long and 18 ~ 22m wide.

7-a-side football field size: length 65-68m, width 45-48m

The 11-a-side football field has a length of 90-120m and a width of 45-90m. The international competition standard size is 105-110m and the width is 68-75m.The illumination of the football field can be divided into: outdoor soccer field and indoor soccer field. The illumination standards of the outdoor (inside) soccer field are as follows: training and entertainment activities illumination 200lx (300lx), amateur competition 300lx (500lx), professional competition 500lx (750lx) , generally tv broadcast 1000lx (1000lx), large-scale international competition HDTV broadcast 1400lx (>1400lx), tv emergency 1000lx (750lx).


There are several ways to arrange the lighting of the football field:

2. Layout of 4 corner:

Features: Four light poles are arranged outside the four corner zones, and should also be placed outside the normal line of sight of the athletes. Diagonal lampposts are usually on the extension of the diagonal of the football field;

Lamp post position: When there is no TV broadcast, the 5° outside the middle line and 10° outside the bottom line are the minimum values. The lamp post can only be placed in the red area in Figure 2. There is a TV broadcast site. The angle outside the bottom line should not be Less than 15°.

Football field lights and lamp holders: In order to better control glare, the projection angle of football field lights should not be greater than 70°, that is, the shading angle of football field lights should be greater than 20°.

Projection angle of the luminaire: The football field lamp installation bracket should be tilted forward by 15° to prevent the upper row of lights from being blocked by the lower row of lights, resulting in loss of light and uneven illumination on the court.


2. Layout on both sides

(1) Light belt arrangement

Features: Generally there are stands, the canopy at the top of the stand can support the lighting device, the light belt arrangement is a kind of lateral arrangement, and the continuous light belt is used. Now the segmented light belt arrangement is also often applied. Compared with the arrangement of the four corners, the light-distributed lamps are closer to the stadium and the lighting effect is better.

Belt position: In order to keep the goalkeeper and the players attacking near the corner area have good line of sight conditions, the lighting device cannot be placed at least 15° on both sides of the bottom line based on the midpoint of the goal line. According to 2007, international football has made new regulations, and the scope of not being able to install lights has been expanded.


Area where lighting is not possible

(a) No light can be placed within 15° angles on both sides of the bottom line.

(b) The light shall not be placed in the space 20 degrees outward from the bottom line and at an angle of 45° to the horizontal.

(2) Multi-pole arrangement

Features: Usually multiple poles are placed on both sides of the game. Generally speaking, the height of the poles of the multi-bar lamp can be higher than the bottom of the four corners. The multi-lamp post is arranged in a four-bar arrangement with an eight-bar arrangement.


Light pole position: avoid the line-of-sight interference of the goalkeeper and the attacking team. The midpoint of the goal line is used as the reference point, and the light pole cannot be arranged within at least 10° of the sides of the bottom line.
